ABOUT US
We are a privately owned and family run English language school, located in Sidmouth, Devon - on the South West coast of England. Established in 1976 and accredited by the British Council, we offer a personal, friendly and professional service to all our students. Recognized in the EL Gazette UK Language Centre Rankings for 2024–25, the school is proudly placed within the top 20% of British Council-accredited language centres in the UK.
In 2026, we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary as a school!

We offer safe, comfortable accommodation for all ages, with options to suit every student, and unlike many other schools, our booking service is completely FREE. Our trusted homestay families welcome SIS students into their homes, providing a supportive environment where you can practise English and enjoy everyday British life. All our host families are fully checked and carefully selected, giving you a safe and supportive home during your stay.
TRAVEL SERVICE
We offer DISCOUNTED travel assistance to/from London Heathrow, including coordination, supervision, and welfare for all students. All vehicles and drivers are rigorously checked for safety and comfort. Meet & Greet services are available for unaccompanied minors during peak seasons. Private transfers from anywhere in the UK can also be arranged for added convenience.
SOCIAL PROGRAMME
We offer a diverse social programme for all ages, giving students the chance to have fun, make friends and practise their English outside the classroom. With tailored programmes for Adults, Teenagers & Young Adults, and Juniors & Tweens, students can enjoy cultural excursions, sports, games, crafts, beach activities and so much more! Unlike many other schools, our Teenagers & Young Adults have FREE access to our extremely popular social room.
