YOUNG LEARNER COURSES
8-13 Years
Sidmouth International School has successfully run courses for Young Learners aged 8-13 yrs since 1983.
We have a separate department for these young students only 5 minutes walk from the Adult department.

A team of carefully chosen teachers and activity leaders organises a varied programme of teaching and leisure activities specially designed for this age group. They learn English in a way that is fun and effective and have the chance to communicate with children from all over the world. Our aim is to provide the special care and supervision required by younger students, in the safe and secure environment of this small seaside town.

Supervision and the safeguarding of our young students is our top priority!
​
We arrange special transport for our young students and have experienced staff to meet them at the airport when they arrive, see Location and Travel. They also have a transfer to and from homestay and school each day.
​
Accommodation is with specially chosen and checked homestay families.

In the unlikely event that no course is available at a suitable level, a student may be offered reduced hours of 1-to1 tuition at the original price as follows:
General course 15 hrs > 10 hrs 1-to1
Intensive Course 21 hrs > 15 hrs 1-to1
The school will be closed for Public Holidays on: 1 January, 18 & 21 April,
5 & 26 May, 25 August, 25 & 26 December 2025
Minimum Age: 18
