LOCATION & TRAVEL
Location
Sidmouth is in the Southwest of England in the county of Devon. It is a small town on the Jurassic coast (England's first World Heritage Site) and the school is in the centre of the town. It is a 30 minute drive from the cathedral city of Exeter, a 90 minute drive from Bristol and 3 hours from London Heathrow Airport.

Free Airport
Transfer Bus
We provide a FREE transfer from London Heathrow Airport every Saturday throughout the year. The bus aims to arrive at the airport at 12.00 and to depart no later than 16.30. Average journey time (including comfort stop) is 3.5 hours approximately.
To use this free transfer:
Arrivals:
Flights must arrive at Heathrow before 15.00
Departures:
Flights must depart from Heathrow after 13.45.
The bus departure time may vary during low season; please contact the school directly prior to booking flights.
Meet & Greet /
Escort Service
We offer a Meet & Greet service (meet at the arrivals gate and help with check-in on departure) for unaccompanied students.
Costs: £35 one-way. To use this service, flights must arrive between 12.00 and 15.00 and depart between 13.45 and 16.30.

The school MUST be advised if a student is travelling with the airline’s ‘Unaccompanied Minor Service’. An ‘unaccompanied minor’, commonly known as an ‘UM’, is a child who is travelling alone without a parent, guardian or responsible adult. Unaccompanied Minor Service is the special service provided by some airlines to supervise children whilst travelling. This service is usually booked by a parent or guardian and NOT to be confused with the School’s Escort service

Transfers
We can arrange car/taxi transfers (up to 4 people) to Sidmouth from anywhere in the UK. Minimum price per car for single journey:
Heathrow £325, Gatwick £341, Bristol £184, Exeter £60.
Please note, prices are approximate only. In the event of delays, waiting time will be charged at £25 per hour.
Public Transport

Public Bus
National Express operates an excellent fast coach service (No 501) between Heathrow Airport and Exeter coach station, with departures every 2 hours throughout the year.

At Exeter coach station change for the bus to Sidmouth (Stagecoach No 9), journey time about 45 minutes.

There are frequent National Express shuttle buses to London Heathrow from London Gatwick (journey time 80 minutes) and London Stansted (journey time 90 minutes)

Train
